You've got questions, We've got answers...

We've received a number of inquiries regarding the type of clothing, accessories and home decor we carry here at Humanité. So to make sure our fans know what to expect when walking through our doors, here's a rundown of what you can find inside:

Who shops at Humanité?
The demographic Humanité concentrates on are between the ages of 25-50. However, we've had a number of high school students and sassy ladies over 50 come in and rave about how much they love our clothing and the fit. A number of our items will fit any age depending on the body type. You just have to try it on!

What sizes do you carry?
We run a broad spectrum for sizing as well - anything from a 2-16. In some items, we have smalls that fit a size 2-4. When available, we always order the largest sizes possible, which is usually a size 14. Our designer jeans go up to size 16. We're always on the lookout for sizes that will accommodate our customers when at all possible.

What type of inventory do you carry?
Anything and everything that a woman needs to complete an outfit! Shoes, Jewelry, Dresses (we have a TON of dresses!), Tank tops, Scarves, Bras, T-shirts, Sweaters, Cardigans, Jackets, Jeans and more. We also carry a variety of home goods and decor including locally handmade pillows, Lamps, Picture Frames, Mirrors, Wall Decor, Gifts and lifestyle products such as BPA-free water bottles and Organic Beauty Products.

Why is your email address litsemba, and what does it mean?
The entire reason the store Humanité exists stems from the August '09 mission trip I took to Swaziland, Africa. There's no adjective to give the amazing experience justice. Because of that trip, I wanted to be able to give back to the organization, Heart For Africa, on a continuous basis and from there, Humanité was born. 10% of my profits are going to one local (New Century Scholars) and one international charity (Heart for Africa) with the dream of being able to increase the giving percentage while still remaining a viable business. In Swaziland, the word "Litsemba" means HOPE. I couldn't think of a better way to be reminded of why this store is here than for the simple and powerful word of Hope.

Is there something you'd like to see Humanité carry? Any type of brand, clothing or accessories? Let us know! I'd be delighted to carry an array of your favorite or hard to find items. Email it to me at litsemba@gmail.com or come by the store and have a chat!
